Willard Romney's calling card during the first debate is that he's a business man who created 100,000 jobs during his time at Bain Capital......a position handed to him on a silver platter by Bill Bain. The evidence of his job creation performance *in America* should be front and center by now. So far, I have yet to see some real numbers for just "made in America" jobs from Willard and/or Bain Capital.
The newest tally for jobs outsourced by Bain Capital, while and after Willard's tenure as a job creator anywhere in the world is now at 15,865......all courtesy of the godfather of vulture capitalism (coined by Gingrich). When a company is shut down, there is an economic wave that runs through a community. It is conservatively estimated that Bain is responsible for the loss of 31,730 American jobs. That's capitalism run amuk, IMO. Trickle up doesn't work for most Americans.
Willard also says that he will create 12 million jobs if elected. Non-Faux "News" economists tell us that millions of jobs will be created no matter who is President. I wonder, though, what those jobs will pay.
Oh, BTW, government doesn't create jobs. The "job creators" don't create jobs either in spite of what Luntz, Boehner, McConnell, etal have said hundreds of times. Small businesses and corporations do. The idle rich hide their money in off shore accounts. How Patriotic is that? While Jeb Bush made jokes about the economy that his brother crashed, his brother was in the Cayman Islands making a speech.
Here's a really cold, out of touch, "mission statement(?)" from a former Bain head of manufacturing in the article regarding shutting down and outsourcing of American companies:
Let's not kid ourselves about just how cheap offshore labor really is. We not only pay substantially less per hour, we also avoid the costs we would incur if these workers immigrated here. We don't pay for their medical expenses when they show up in the emergency room without insurance. We don't pay for their pension costs if they don't save for retirement. We don't pay for their children's public education. Nor do we pay for their out-of-wedlock children, their unemployment benefits and workers' compensation, their slip and fall torts, their wear and tear on our public infrastructure, and the cost of their drunk driving, drug use and other crimes. We outsource pollution, its adverse effects on our health, and its clean-up costs. Neither the employees nor their employers are here to vote and seek political handouts.
Sounds like something that Willard would write himself. Maybe Norquist? One of the Kochroaches? Sounds like advocating zero jobs for Americans if you're part of or want to be in the elite?
Now someone is going to scream "class warfare"!!! We should not criticize success!!! We can criticize greed and detrimental harm to our economy......besides the 2nd Amendment says we can say just about anything we want. Where's the Patriotic spirit in this "candidate" and his "wannabe elitist" base?
BTW, is this Bain-head implying that Americans shouldn't have good paying jobs because they *might* get high?????
CoH, please.
